The boys at Wordpress has finally lifted the curtains on the newest version of the world’s best blogging software. You can find more information about it at the Wordpress blog.
WordPress 2.5, the culmination of six months of work by the WordPress community, people just like you. The improvements in 2.5 are numerous, and almost entirely a result of your feedback: multi-file uploading, one-click plugin upgrades, built-in galleries, customizable dashboard, salted passwords and cookie encryption, media library, a WYSIWYG that doesn’t mess with your code, concurrent post editing protection, full-screen writing, and search that covers posts and pages.
This is a major update. The list of changes are a mile long. Download the latest version of Wordpress here. I think I’ll start by upgrading some of my other blogs and see how those go before upgrading this one. If you’ve upgraded, let me how it went and if you’ve found any bugs.
*Update - I have just updated John Chow dot Com to the latest Wordpress. The update went smooth as butter with absolutely no problems what so ever. The new interface is really nice. I recommend everyone upgrade.
